Hydrodynamic Responses of a Barge-Type Floating Offshore Wind Turbine Integrated with an Aquaculture Cage

The dynamic responses of a new structure combining barge-type floating offshore wind turbine and an aquaculture cage is investigated numerically. First, 5 MW with (FOWT-AC) designed the numerical model established in ANSYS-AQWA. FOWT-AC then checked, natural periods six degrees freedom motion satisfy recommendations DNV specification. Based on reasonable model, comparison study between FOWT under environmental conditions South China Sea carried out, it observed that produces basically lower standard deviation responses. To investigate deeply, analyses second-order hydrodynamic response, typical mooring line breaking scenario are out. simulation results show wave loads increase response slightly unless causes resonance for structure. In addition, structures significantly when currents applied, especially integrated into FOWT. When one lines connected to or onshore side platform breaks, presence smaller coupled structure, which means more stable.
